This jewellery remodelling project involved re-using a Princess cut Diamond in a rubover setting. We looked at completely changing the way the ring appeared by putting the diamond into a chunkier ring with an organic textured finish. By altering the stone orientation the ring looks more contemporary and unique. We made a silver 'master' ring which Steph wore for a short period to check the size and fit. A rubber mould was made using the 'master' design and a wax model was produced. The gold was melted to together and cast into the new piece via a 'lost wax' casting process. The cast ring was then hand finished and the gemstones set.
